This year’s cultural program highlights the historical signifi cance of the newest addition to Lewis & Clark National Historical Park, the Middle Village/Station Camp Unit at McGowan. There will be lectures, presentations, tours, and other events at the Columbia Pacifi c Heritage Museum in Ilwaco, WA and at other locations. Wearing vintage World War 2 military uniforms, singers and will perform a USO-style show. The performance features popular songs of the era matched with stories of Puddicomb’s wartime experiences.

The program is followed by a 15 minute Q&A. Free, 1pm at the Timberland Libraries in Ilwaco, Naselle, Ocean Park, and South Bend, WA. Shanghaied Roller Dolls Spanksgiving Bout. The Shanghaied Roller Dolls compete against the Gorge Roller Girls in the fi rst Clatsop County roller derby bout of the 21st century. Cost TBA. 7 – 9pm at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds near Astoria. Holiday Bazaar. The annual holiday bazaar features new and gently used items of various kinds. Raffl e tickets for a Christmas quilt wall hanging are $1 each. Dessert and beverages will be available. 4 – 6pm at Calvary Episcopal Church in Seaside. Women’s Only Weekend. A time for women to get away and pamper themselves before the holiday season gets into full swing. WOW offers creative ideas, guest speakers, one-of-a-kind gift items, spa pampering, live music, food and wine, all designed to ignite the holiday mood.
